The vineyard of Aglianico Tenuta Fonzone in Paternopoli extends along both sides of a hill, which ranges in altitude from 360 to 430 m. above sea level. The land has different exposures and soils – generally clay- which present significant variations from area to area.
The downstream portion produces the grapes for this wine. Harvested in late October, briefly macerated and then refined for ten months in stainless steel. Only a small part is finished in barrels of second and third step. Designed for the appreciation of its prompt characteristics, Irpinia Aglianico DOC allows an easy approach to this noble grape of Irpinia.
